Bulls Folding Up Season Early?

49-16 Loss to Rutgers Looks Like Surrender

As a long time Bulls fan I can tell you this team is different, not special.  I saw for the first time a team that simply surrendered.  Perhaps, like many Bulls fans, the win just didn’t come easy enough for the Bulls.

Rutgers came out intent on taking a win out of Raymond James Stadium.  Rutgers  was enthusiastic, intense and hard-hitting.  The Bulls were complacent, soft, and assuming.

It seems with this team that at the first sign of adversity the players begin to argue among themselves.  Later it spreads to the coaching staff and their subsequent arguing and screaming at players - and some times, getting it directed back at them.

There are enough examples throughout the game to cite from A.J. Love’s weak attempt at a ball, to Matt Grothe’s errant passes to miscues on Special Teams and appalling defensive breakdowns.

All I can think about as I watch that game on replay is that big surrender flag at midfield that contains our logo.  No longer do I think it’s “just plain wrong”.
