USF v Notre Dame preview
Posted by Ken under: Bulls Basketball; The Big East .
Ok I think I found the checklist on how to predict USF basketball games, and I will start this experiment with our next opponent Notre Dame on Sunday.
1. Do they have a post presence? The answer is a definite yes. Luke Harangody(24.6 ppg, 12.8 rpg) will be a dominant force inside unless we can get him in early foul trouble.
2. Can they shoot the 3? Once again yes. Kyle McAlarney, Ryan Ayers, and Luke Zeller all shoot the 3 at a pretty good clip. We have to keep constant pressure on these 3 all night.
3. Do they have any type of depth? Somewhat. They normally go 8 deep in their rotation, so we at least have that going for us.
4. Is this on the road? Yes.
5. Will we win? Probably not. Harangody will have a huge game taking advantage of Rivas, Aris, and Gus down low. If their perimeter guys have an off night, we have a chance of keeping it close, but I think it’s another loss for the Bulls.
One Comment so far...

One thing I have noticed, when watching Luke play. He always turns the same way when he shoots. He is very predictable. He is just relentless in his effort. The main job of Aris, Rivas, and Gus will be to take away his strong side, and gang rebound. Still a tall task, but last time we played them, we were able to limit him (somewhat). The 3 is where we are in trouble with ND. They have too many weapons and we are pathetic at defending the kick out.
